Installing an air conditioner
What is included in the installation of the air conditioner?
What is included in the cost of installing an air conditioner? And what is a "standard installation"?
The cost is different for everyone, but in general, there is a concept among climate companies of "standard installation", which includes all installation work without wall deepening, signs of a climber with a freon track up to 5 m. As a rule, 80% of air conditioning installations fit into a standard installation in one stage.
Standard installation of the air conditioner
The principle of operation of the air conditioner and refrigerator is the same. The refrigerator does not require installation, because the heat-removing and cold-generating circuits are located "in one block".The split system is divided into 2 blocks: external and internal. Heat is removed from the outside, and freon evaporates on the inside, cooling the heat exchanger tubes. If both parts were in the room, there would be no effect: one cools, the second heats the room with the same intensity.
Since the blocks are separated in space, they must be connected by a route along which freon will "run", it is necessary to supply power to the external unit of the air conditioner, to remove the condensate formed in the internal unit of the split system.
The standard installation of the air conditioner includes:
- Up to five meters of freon track. The route already includes: a. Gas copper pipe of increased diameter;
- One hole for the track. It is necessary to bring the route outside and connect the external unit of the air conditioner (usually located on the street, less often on the balcony / loggia) and the internal unit of the split system located indoors. The hole is made by an industrial drill (it paints the wall, and does not drill like a puncher, while this operation is performed much more accurately, in a gentle mode for the facade of the building).
- Brackets. Power elements for attaching the external unit to the wall. The size depends on the block selected by the client.
- Fasteners for strengthening the route in/on the wall.
- Decorative box up to 1 m. When laying the route in the room in which the repair is carried out, part of the route laid in the room is placed in a box.
b. Liquid copper pipe of smaller diameter;
c. Thermal insulation of copper pipes (to prevent condensation, fogging of walls);
d. Interblock control cable (to transmit a control signal from the indoor unit to the external one);
e. Power cable;
f. Drainage hose for condensate removal, which is formed during the operation of the air conditioner. A high-quality silicone hose is used, which has a low coefficient of slip resistance and provides a free condensate drain.
Non-standard installation
Installation to installation is different. Someone has a "sandwich": an external unit on the wall of the building, an internal one immediately behind it, drainage to the street, the air conditioner is powered from the nearest outlet, one hole for connecting the external and internal units. In this case, the length of the route is 2-3 meters, and the mounting elements are standard (brackets), and the work is minimal (for about 3 hours).
In another case, the external unit of the air conditioner is installed on the loggia on special prefabricated stands. The length of the route to the indoor unit is 15 meters. The route is laid in a pre-made shtraba in the wall (as a rule, at the stage of repair in the apartment). Drainage drain is forced, with the use of a special pump of a flowing or accumulative type. Additional openings inside the room when passing walls. The installation of such a split system will take a lot of resources and a lot of time for the team.
Below is an example of work in excess of the standard: shading, laying of extended freon circuit routes, high-altitude work.
The installation is considered finished only after the masters make sure that everything is working properly.
Communications sticking out of the wall cannot be bent, in the future this may lead to a leak of freon.
If the installation is carried out at the repair stage, communications are hidden under plaster. In this case, the work will take two stages. At the first stage, communications are laid. The installation of the indoor and outdoor unit is carried out after the repair is completed.
